I worked from home a couple days ago, but that was because I had a dentist appointment in the middle of the day.
I wouldn't recommend it. The dentist, that is.

Lap son, good for you for being able to work from home.
Some of us who can't, and because of this massive over fucking reaction it could cause the firm I work for to go out of business.
All because of a fucking virus slightly worse than the flu.
Excuse me for being a little fucked off.

Working from home is designed to MINIMISE, not eliminate (unnecessary) human contact.
If you're company has a "bums on seats" approach to staff management when none of that work done by those people actually requires them to be sat in a room with others, then you're as likely fucked as not; nearly every forward looking company is encouraging remote working, augmented by video/audio conference calls and as a last resort "hot desking" and 3rd party meeting room locations.
This virus will speed up the process for many, and by the time the rest realise the strategic business benefits remote working brings, it will be too late for them.

Last year I requested to wfh for 2 days a week full time due to health reasons and I fucking love it at home with the pooch.
Probably classed as high risk due to my lungs not working properly, but I quite like coming into the office still and will only stop doing so if this thing gets really bad and I'm forced to.
Some people really are overreacting, even though it's clearly a cunty virus.

Surely working from home would be the same as being at work and arguing all day on a football message board on stuff you know nothing about?

My sister works for a BIG insurance company.
Apparently their systems won’t cope with all their staff logging on remotely so they’re all still exposed to the pestilence in their offices.
What happens when they start inevitably getting a dose is anyone’s guess. They don’t seem that well prepared to me.
(No link to my sister by the way. Cunts.)
